Fig. 30 shows another cover from Elisabethville addressed to the Head Office of The Central Bank of
India in Bombay. This was posted in January 1963. The cover shows usage of the 1n.p., 5 n.p, and 8 n.p.
overprints cancelled with the FPO 716 datestamp.

La Fig 30 montre une autre lettre d'Elisabethville adressée au siège social de la Banque centrale de l'Inde
à Bombay. Elle a été postée en janvier 1963. La lettre montre l'utilisation du 1n.p., 5 n.p et 8 n.p.
surchargés annulés avec le dateur FPO 716.

Units appeared to
be scarce. The
cover shown in Fig
31 above shows use
of all six
overprinted stamps.
It was posted from
Leopoldville to
Denmark. There is
a transit datestamp
of Zurich on the
reverse. The stamps
are cancelled with
FPO 660 datestamp.
The cover was registered and the ‘660 FPO’ registration label no. 77 was attached.
However I have some items of Indian Unit mail in my collection sent post free.

Le courrier recommandé des unités indiennes semble rare. La lettre illustrée en Fig. 31 ci-dessus montre
l'utilisation des six timbres surchargés. Elle a été postée de Léopoldville à destination du Danemark. Il y a
un cachet de transit de Zurich au dos. Les timbres sont annulés avec le dateur FPO 660. La lettre était
recommandée et l’étiquette de recommandation « 660 FPO » sous no. 77 fut apposée.
Cependant, je possède quelques pièces de courrier de l'unité indienne dans ma collection envoyées en
franchise postale.
