Meanwhile. B Company, 32 Irish Inf. Battalion were stationed at Kamina Base in Katanga. Fig. 40
shows a commercial cover from the Commandant, H. O’Shea to his wife in Ireland. This was dated 26
September 1960 and forwarded post free via the U.N. postal system. The cover received the ONUC
handstamp in pale blue.

Le Bataillon B Company, 32nd Irish Inf. était stationné à la base de Kamina au Katanga. La figure 40
montre une lettre commerciale du commandant H. O'Shea à destination de sa femme en Irlande. Elle est
datée du 26 septembre 1960 et expédiée en franchise postale via le système postal des Nations Unies. La
lettre a reçu le cachet ONUC en bleu pâle.

decided to post this via the
Katanga postal service. The
Katangan stamps received the
Kamina Base Militaire 1
datestamp for 16 November 1960.
