Les Congolâtres

This April 7, 1944 Leopoldville cover
(Figure 30) has Belgian Congo censor
tape, a Belgian Congo censor mark 47,
Nigerian censor tape, and a faint Nigerian
crown with number censor handstamp.
When the cover arrived in Nigeria, a
Nigerian stamp was added and the cover
was forwarded to England where a
receiving cancel was applied.

Cette lettre de Léopoldville du 7 avril
1944 (Figure 30) comporte une bande de
censure du Congo belge apposée par le
censeur N° 47, une bande de censure
nigériane et une faible couronne
nigériane avec un tampon de censure
numérique. Lorsque la lettre est arrivée
au Nigeria, un timbre nigérian a été
ajouté et l'enveloppe a été transferee en
Angleterre où un cachet de réception a
été appliqué.
