'See you at the parade :)  Single for 22 years, anyone else SINGLE???'

Note from Shana (Smelser) Wahl dated July 3, 2011
'The parade was a blast!  Everyone had a great time.  We had the music blasting the entire while we decorated the truck, but unfortunately, the batteries ran out about mid parade.  Darn..  Oh well, it was fun.  You were definitely missed.'

Note from Kathie MacArthur Renzhofer dated July 4th, 2011
'I have been married to Martin Renzhofer for 21 years.  Marty is a sports writer for the Salt Lake Tribune.  I am a Vice President at HUB International, an international insurance brokerage firm.  My oldest daughter, Lisa, lives in Austin, TX and is married to a professional musician.  My youngest daughter, Celeste, lives in Stow, MA and has her PhD in Communication.  She is a professor at Boston College.  I have one beautiful, perfect 7-year old granddaughter, Veronica, and two incredible step-grandsons - one graduated from Dartmouth and is teaching English in China and one attending University of Massachusetts.  My dream is to move to Massachusetts to be with my granddaughter as soon as the economy turns around enough to sell our home and find good jobs.'

Note from Rick Norton dated July 10th, 2011
'I've been living in Salt Lake City ever since graduation and have been working at Utility Trailers of Salt Lake for the past 25 years.  I was married for approximately 5 years and got divorced back in 1990, but I've been with my girlfriend Lisa now for almost 10 years.  I've got one son, Rorie, who's 25 years old and a lawyer in New York City.  I'm still riding Harleys, have my old '56 Ford, and go golfing almost every day that I can (amazingly, my girlfriend doesn't bitch too much about it). That's all folks! Dudley.'

Note from Sherilen Cox Clark dated July 21st, 2011
'I am excited to see everyone.  I love living in Tucson, Arizona.  It is a beautiful valley like Salt Lake City where flowers grow year round.  I am working at the University of Arizona as a department administrator.  I love to hike.  I have 5 wonderful children and 5 amazing grandchildren.  Life gets better every year.'

Note from Jana Vandegrift Marsh dated August 2nd, 2011

I have lived in Colorado since 1975.  Worked for our local school district for 23 years, retired and am now enjoying our 4 grandchildren, and remodeling our home. Thanks to so many people from Viewmont for making my teenage years so wonderful!

Note from John Naylor dated August 5, 2011

Note from Denise Child Bell dated August 2, 2011
'I'm really looking forward to seeing so many of you at the 40 year reunion!!'

Note from Tom Ketcham dated May 3rd, 2011
Hello to all my high school friends and colleagues after a 35 year absence. Thank you all for your warmth and company in high school, (and jr. high and elementary school for some). I want to attend the 40th reunion, but circumstances may prevent me, just like they did for the 10th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th. I have been married for 33 years and have two wonderful sons. I graduated from the U of U in 75 and went on to earn a Ph. D. from MIT. I have worked as a scientist and inventor for Corning Incorporated for 29 years and been living in the Corning NY area during that time. My wife and I met in Boston. We got married and we had one son while I was in grad school (difficult, not many try it, not recommended). She has a Masters from Boston University and is a great first grade teacher. Life has been kind to me, knock on wood.
I look forward to additional communications from those who are interested.
After high school I learned how to play electric bass and guitar and have played and sang in several garage bands (one year doing ~ 25 paid gigs around the Corning area). I sang with the U of U chorus and A cappella and in grad school with the Wellesley Madrigal. Half of the Wellesley Madrigal sang with the Boston Symphony orchestra, but unfortunately, I didnt have time. Played intramural football (and soccer, softball) at MIT where I popped my right knees anterior cruciate ligament and ripped up the meniscus (knee surgically reconstructed 14 years later). Other hobbies include watching F1 auto racing (seen two in person at Indy, a couple of other races at Watkins Glen), tropical fish  salt water and coral recently, reading history and science fiction, target shooting, downhill skiing, a little hiking and going to the gym periodically (not often enough!). My wife and I may buy some kayaks this year (lots of rivers, streams, ponds and bays) and are considering scuba after a snorkeling  trip to Australias Great Barrier Reef 2 years ago.
I know Dr. Thomas Cable from Viewmont 71 (track co-captain) works for the Air Force or NASA and I believe he lives in or near Dayton Ohio. For a time he and I worked in and invented / got patents in the same technology field- fuel cells  although we took different paths to get there.

Note from Anita (Iverson) Core dated June 4th, 2011
Married 37 years and have  5 children and 12 grandchildren so far!:)

Note from Anna (Lane) Devereaux dated June 6th, 2011
'Just a quick note.  Terry and I are both retired and living in Manila, Utah.  AKA  Flaming Gorge.  Ask Terry and he would tell you he was "LIVIN THE DREAM".  November of this year we will have been married 40 years.  Girl, Boy, and girl.  5 1/2 grandchildren.  Busy life and still like each other.  "no kidding".   Life is good.  So looking forward to seeing old friends.  Not sure who put this site together but thank you it is great.  Keep us posted as to when we will be getting together.'

Note from Linda (Omer) Brown dated July 3rd, 2011
'I live in Washington state and am the CEO of TDC Healthcare. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah with a BS in finance and an MBA. I have three children and two grandchildren.  I have great memories of our years as Viewmont Vikings and regret that I will be overseas on the date of the reunion. Connect with me on Facebook, Linda Anne Brown (Omer).'

Note from Dave Burningham dated July 4th, 2011
'Still alive.'

Note from Dana Jeppson dated July 9th, 2011
'Sorry to miss the 40th reunion but on my bucket list is to visit Alaska and that is where I will be during the reunion.'

Note from Connie Wood Cook dated July 9th, 2011
'Just curious how many of us married someone from our class.  Jeff Cook and I (Connie Wood Cook) are going on 37 years.  Scott and Stana, Roger and Kathy, Randy and Jane--there's probably a bunch more.  Sweet you are putting this together.  The float was fantastic.  Everyone looked the same :)'

Note from Julie Jelte Dahl dated June 11th, 2011
''High School teacher- English and Communications Skills.'

* Note from Dave Reid dated June 17th, 2011
''After working in the US in television for 29 years, I have been working overseas since ’06.  I created television networks in Turkey (FOX Turkey, based in Istanbul) and in Afghanistan (1TV, based in Kabul).   The two networks currently employ over 500 Turks and Afghans and are ranked 3rd in their respective countries.   I am currently training young Afghans in various aspects of operating television and radio channels.  My employer is Internews.  My wife is Jill Chlarson Reid from Honeyville, UT.  We have been married for 31 years and have six children living in Texas, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado, and Nebraska.  We have 10 Grandchildren.  I regret that I won’t be able to attend the 40 year reunion—it is the middle of Ramadan and I’ll be doing some media capacity building in Kabul and Jalalabad."

Note from Dennis Turville dated July 19th, 2011
I was wondering if anything was being cooked up.  Unfortunately, August is always a busy month for me as it is prime alpine time in the mountains, and this year during the reunion I will be in the middle of the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming rock climbing at twelve thousand feet or so (just above mosquito line we hope...)

Note from Diane Mendenhall dated July 21st, 2011
'Same address as 10 years ago...how boring!'
