21 20 GRADUATE TRAINEE PROGRAMME I joined Flynn O’Driscoll in 2018 and completed my traineeship here. Throughout my training, the emphasis was always on understanding the client’s business. There are often numerous solutions to a legal problem, but if you understand the client’s business, you understand which solutions best suits their commercial needs. I gained valuable exposure to a variety of transactions and transaction structures which assisted me in developing the skills required to understand and apply this solutions-based approach. We consistently get unmatched time with partners and senior lawyers to ensure we’re fully supported in our professional development. There is a terrific culture amongst junior staff, and I always felt I had a network of colleagues I could rely on for queries and guidance. Beyond our legal training, the firm encourages participation in our dedicated committees for sport & social, charity and diversity & inclusion. Responsibilities across these committees are not restricted depending to your seniority in the firm and as a result, you will have the opportunities to propose and take ownership of initiatives and manage projects which offers trainees valuable exposure to budgeting and management experience. “Gained Valuable Exposure” Jeffrey Hovenden Keane, Solicitor GRADUATE PROGRAMMES
