Genesis 5

Descendants of Adam

(1) This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made man in the likeness of God.

(2) He created them male and female, and blessed them, and named them mankind on the day they were created.

(3) After Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

(4) After he had fathered Seth, Adam lived 800 years, and he had other sons and daughters.

(5) All the days that Adam lived were 930 years, then he died.

(6) Seth lived 105 years, then fathered Enos.

(7) After he fathered Enos, Seth lived 807 years, and had other sons and daughters.

(8) And all the days of Seth were 912 years, then he died.

(9) Enos lived 90 years, then fathered Cainan.

(10) After Enos fathered Cainan he lived 815 years, and had other sons and daughters.

(11) And all the days of Enos were 905 years, then he died.

(12) Cainan lived 70 years, and fathered Mahalaleel.

(13) After Cainan fathered Mahalaleel he lived 840 years, and had other sons and daughters.

(14) And all the days of Cainan were 910 years, then he died.

(15) Mahalaleel lived 65 years, and fathered Jared.

(16) After Mahalaleel fathered Jared he lived 830 years, and had other sons and daughters.

(17) And all the days of Mahalaleel were 895 years, then he died.

Birth Of Enoch To God Taking Him

(18) Jared lived 162 years, and he fathered Enoch.

(19) After Jared fathered Enoch he lived 800 years, and had other sons and daughters.

(20) And all the days of Jared were 962 years, then he died.

(21) Enoch lived 65 years, and fathered Methuselah.

(22) After Enoch fathered Methuselah he walked with God 300 years, and had other sons and daughters.

(23) And all the days of Enoch were 365 years:

(24) Enoch walked with God and then he was no longer here; for God took him away.

Genealogy of Noah From Methuselah

(25) Methuselah lived 187 years, and fathered Lamech.

(26) After Methuselah fathered Lamech he lived 782 years, and had other sons and daughters.

(27) And all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, then he died.

(28) Lamech lived 182 years, and fathered a son.

(29) He named him Noah, saying, "This one shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed."

(30) After Lamech fathered Noah he lived 595 years, and had other sons and daughters.

(31) And all the days of Lamech were 777 years, then he died.

(32) Noah was 500 years old, and he fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
