十、事情总不是一帆风顺地发展的。身体虽然恢复了，但我却
精神忧郁了，这是车祸后遗症。对任何事情都没有兴趣。即便回到
上海，见同学和老师，参加画展也无动于衷提不起精神，忧郁症困
扰着我……
10. Yet things were not as they seemed. While my body had
recovered, my spirit had not. The car accident had put me in a
cycle of negativity. Nothing was interesting anymore. Even after
a trip back to Shanghai, to visit old classmates and teachers and
wander the art exhibits, I was unable to lift my heart. A long battle
with depression had begun...

十一、一天偶然见江浙沪联谊会的乐队在排练，美丽悠扬的乐曲，
激昂的旋律突然震撼了我的心灵，使我兴奋不已。一个从未摸过乐器
的我试着打电话给乐队长陈炳生说我想参加乐队。陈炳生是个军人出
身的有着十多年活跃在艺术集团领导人，做事就是干净利索，放下电
话就约我马上乐器店见…… 很快我就成了乐队的鼓手。随着音乐的起
伏，我走出了郁闷，又重新扬起了我的追梦的风帆！衷心感谢以狄，
陈为首的江浙沪联谊会，给了我第二次生命，给了我家的温暖。
11. One day, I happened to see the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai
Association's band practising in a rehearsal. The beautiful and
melodious music suddenly shook my heart and brought back a
glimpse of excitement. I, who had never touched an instrument,
tried to call the band leader Chen Bingsheng and asked whether
I could join the band. Chen Bingsheng, a previous soldier, has been active in the art group for more than ten years. He
works in a strict and orderly fashion. Right after the call, he asked to meet immediately at the instrument store - the next
thing you know I was the drummer of the band. Music lifted me out of the deep depression I had been lost in! I could not
thank enough the Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai Association, Mr.Di, and Mr.Chen Bingsheng for giving me a second life.

十二、三十年，是江浙沪
联谊会建立的三十年，也是我
来加拿大的三十年。在我的生
命中遇到了江浙沪联谊会是我
的大幸，也是我的人生财富。
如能再借上天三十年，我还要
携手儿子继续依偎在江浙沪联
谊会的大爱的臂膀里。感恩有
你!
12. Looking back, it
has been 30 years since the
establishment of the Jiangsu,
Zhejiang and Shanghai Association, and also 30 years since I first arrived in
Canada. Without a doubt it has been a great blessing and luck that I have been
able to meet the people of the group. I will forever be grateful for what the
association and the people of it have given me. I feel safe knowing my family has
the watchful arms of the people who have taken care of me at my lowest days.
