Training
The Computational Molecular Biology Unit at UAB is actively promoting the development of courses for
training students in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.
In collaboration with other researcher at UAB, we are working to establish a Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (CB2)
program at UAB. For more details please visit the CB2 webpage.
Currently we submitted for approval the following courses in Pathology that will be cross linked to GBS and open to students
of the 8 themes. The draft and information about those courses are linked below.
- CB2-101 Bioinformatics Computing (Introduction to Scientific Computing) (3 Credit). 48 hours taught over 12 days (4hrs/day). Every November, the course ends one week before Thanksgiving. Instructor: Malay Basu
- CB2-201 Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (3 Credit). Every February (Notice: this course been canceled for 2017). Instructors: Malay Basu
