The Computational Molecular Biology (CMB) Unit is composed by researchers of the Division of Informatics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The research unit is hosted by the Department of Pathology in the West Pavilion building (see below).

The main research topics focus on the development of new methods for the analysis of the sequences and structures of biomolecules to annotated their functions and predict the structures of unknown proteins and RNAs. We also investigate genome evolution using large-scale analysis genomic sequence data.

During the last years, our research resulted in the development of new tools and web server applications that are linked on this server.
