3.   Equipment.  It is best to be equipped light with minimal gear.
        You will need a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a set of wide and
        tele zoom lenses. I personally prefer a mirrorless camera as it
        makes you look less conspicuous. My gear includes an Olympus
        OMD EM 5 MK II camera with 12 – 40 mm f 2.8 and 40 – 150 mm
        f2.8 pro zoom lenses. The wide angle zoom lets me capture the
        expanse of the Ghats and also permits me to shoot in narrow alleys
        were space is tight. The tele zoom comes in handy to take close up
        of people from a respectable distance without invading their per-
        sonal space. I find no use of tripods hence don’t carry them.

        4.   Photographing the sunrise. I prefer to capture the sunrise from
        the Ghats as you can include some interesting foreground. Be at
        the Ghats well before sunrise and walk along the river bank to get
        some interesting shots. Don’t forget to include people and boats as
        part of your foreground.
