THOL BIRD SANCTUARY
If you are a bird lover and are on a visit to Gujrat, you may consid-
er making a trip to Thol Bird Sanctuary. Thol Sanctuary is located
about 40 kms northwest of Ahmedabad.
Thol is well known for wintering Great White Pelicans, Flamingos,
a variety of waterfowl including Mallards and good numbers of
Greylag Geese, Sarus Cranes, the Spotted Flycatcher and wad-
ers which include Eurasian Curlews. A visit to this place is highly
recommended if you are travelling through the area.
