Matthew 17:1

Matthew 17:2

Notes: Many translations replaced "did shine" with "shone." Some claim hard and fast rules for their different uses, while others claim the words are interchangeable. The Grammarist stated "As a writer and former editor, one of the questions I’ve heard several times is whether it’s right to say “shined” or “shone.” The truth is, they’re both right. They’re both used as the past tense of shine. … [Shone is] more commonly used in the UK. In America, we use “shined” as the past tense form of “shine” and would say the sun shined brightly yesterday." KJVu used "Shined."
Matthew 17:3
KJV: 3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

Matthew 17:5

Info: Since "hear ye him" is plural KJVu uses "All of YOU hear him" to show that the voice (God) was speaking to more than just Peter. If the "YOU" is dropped that meaning would be lost. Most translations just drop the "ye/you" thus the distinction is lost.
