We are now the Surrey International Children’s Festival: Incorporating the word international not only Vol. 21 / No. 1265 - Friday, Nov. 15, 2013
acknowledges the high quality performances we bring from across Canada and around the world, but it
best represents the children and families that attend, as they experience different cultures and see
themselves represented on site;

our community involvement and school group mentorships.
The 2014 theme “Up Close and Magical!” integrates the magic of intergenerational connections where

The Surrey International Children’s Festival is an annual children's art celebration presented by the City of Surrey. The Festival’s vision is to inspire young
hearts and minds to greater possibilities, and celebrate our rich and diverse cultural heritage through performing and visual arts experiences. The Festival
programming provides unique educational art opportunities for children. The 10th annual Surrey International Children’s Festival will run from May 22 to 24,
2014 at the Surrey Arts Centre and Bear Creek Park.
