Signal Processing Group at Agreste
Mission
The Signal Processing Group is devoted to the research and development of cutting-edge algorithms and methods for signal analysis and numerical computation.
We aim at advancing technological and mathematical methods keeping in mind that our ultimate goal is to contribute to the understanding of nature.

History
The Signal Processing Group is a scholarly team of professors, researchers, and students devoted to:
- leveraging highly advanced information processing systems;
- disseminating technological and mathematical progress; and
- promoting excellent students to higher academic paths.
We are an educational, nonprofit group funded by grant programs from educational and scientific agencies such as CNPq, FACEPE, CAPES, UFPE, and DFAIT-Canada. All funds are directed to purchasing books, computers, laboratory equipment, etc.
Our main research results are reverted to the public at no cost and are freely available at the web. Our main facilities are physically located at the Federal University of Pernambuco.
The group was founded in 2007 by Dr R J Cintra.
