The Mt Morris Chain offers vast options for a fun day of kayaking. Parking is
limited at the boat landing on lake ―A‖, but the town park at lake―D‖ has more
parking with bathrooms, and a playground. Skiing is allowed on lake ―D‖ from
10 am to 5 pm, so you may want to kayak the other lakes until after 5pm.
There is also access to Emerald Lake from lake ―D‖.

MECAN SPRINGS

Mecan Springs State Natural Area is the place for kayaking at its best. All of the areas
are accessible by kayak, and it’s all “no wake”. With it’s beautiful scenery, it makes
for a wonderful day of kayaking surrounded by nature at its finest.
