Exodus 38

The Altar of Burnt Offerings

(1) He made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood; five cubits was the length, and five cubits the breadth of it; it was square; three cubits was the height of it.

(2) He made horns on the four corners of it; the horns were of the same piece, and he overlaid it with brass.

(3) And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, the shovels, the basons, the fleshhooks, and the firepans; all the vessels of it he made of brass.

(4) He made for the altar a bronze grate of netting under the rim of it beneath the middle of it.

(5) And he cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of brass, to be places for the poles.

(6) He made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with brass.

(7) And he put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, to bear it with them; he made the altar hollow with boards.

The Basin of Brass

(8) He made the basin of brass, and the base of it of brass, from the mirrors of the serving women, who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

The Tabernacle Court

(9) He made the court; on the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, 100 cubits.

(10) Their 20 pillars and their 20 sockets were made of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were made of silver.

(11) For the north side the hangings were 100 cubits, their 20 pillars and their 20 sockets were made of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were made of silver.

(12) And for the west side were hangings of 50 cubits with their 10 pillars and their 10 sockets; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were made of silver.

(13) For the east side eastward the hangings were 50 cubits.

(14) The hangings on one side of the gate were 15 cubits with their three pillars, and their three sockets.

(15) And for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of 15 cubits; with three pillars and three sockets.

(16) All the hangings around the court were of fine twined linen.

(17) The sockets for the pillars were made of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were made of silver; and the overlaying of their tops were made of silver; and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver.

(18) And the covering for the gate of the court was needlework, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; and 20 cubits was the length, and the height in its breadth was five cubits, corresponding to the hangings of the court.

(19) There were four pillars, and four sockets of brass; and their hooks were made of silver, and the overlaying of their tops and their fillets were made of silver.

(20) And all the pins of the tabernacle, and around the court, were made of brass.

The Sum of the Tabernacle

(21) This is the sum of the things for the tabernacle, the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest.

(22) Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD commanded Moses.

(23) And with him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, and an artistic workman, and an embroiderer in blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen.

(24) All the gold that was used for the work of the holy place, including the gold of the offering, was 29 talents, and 730 shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

(25) And the silver from those who were numbered of the congregation was 100 talents, and 1,775 shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:

(26) A bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from 20 years old and upward, for 603,550 men.

(27) From the 100 talents of silver the sockets of the sanctuary were cast, and the sockets of the veil; 100 sockets from the 100 talents, a talent for a socket.

(28) And from the 1,775 shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their tops, and filleted them.

(29) The brass from the offering was 70 talents, and 2,400 shekels.

(30) With it he made the sockets to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, the bronze altar, and the bronze grate for it, and all the vessels of the altar,

(31) and the sockets around the court, and the sockets of the court gate, and all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins around the court.
