KJVu: 22 And it came to pass, when the camels had finished drinking, that the man took a golden earring weighing half a shekel, and two bracelets for her hands weighing ten shekels of gold ,

Notes: Some in KJV-Only community have criticized translations (such as NKJV) that use "nose ring" in place of "earring"in this verse and others. So why would some translations select "nose ring" over "earring?" As it turns out, the lexicons open the door for it. BDB Lexicon offers "nose-ring" (H5141) as an option. Later, in Gen. 24:47 KJV states the "put the earring upon her face" where "Face" is Strong’s H639, and is defined as "a nostril, nose, face, anger," which doesn’t leave much room for ear. KJVu chose to follow the KJV lead and use "earring."

KJV:24 And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor.

Notes: Those not familiar with the KJV vernacular, can easily get tangled up in this verse, especially since the names probably won’t convey gender to most readers. Nahor is Abram’s brother (Gen. 11:27). He married Milcah (Gen. 11:29) and they had a son named Bethuel (Gen. 22:20-22). As this verse, and Gen. 22:23, states Rebekah is the daughter of Bethuel. This was rewritten to make it more clear.
