Genesis 3:1
KJV: 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

"Subtil" highlighted in the KJV verse is Strong’s H6175 is defined as "cunning (usually in a bad sense)." Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines "subtil" as "Sly; artful; cunning; crafty; insinuating; as a subtil person; a subtil adversary." The word "cunning" is more familiar word than "subtil," as such "subtil" was updated with "cunning."

"Yea" highlighted in the KJV verse is Strong’s H637 with a Brown Driver Biggs' definition of "furthermore, indeed." In the context of this verse, "indeed" makes the most sense.

Notes: "Beguiled" highlighted in the KJV verse is Strong’s H5377 and is defined by Brown Driver
Biggs' as: "to beguile, deceive." The Bible is the best commentary on the Bible. In 1 Timothy 2:14 (KJV) this situation was described as, "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." In this instance "deceived" is the most appropriate word to use.
Genesis 3:14
KJV: 14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field ; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life :

Genesis 3:15

"Enmity" in the KJV verse is Strong’s H342 and is defined by Strong’s as "hostility" and by Brown Driver Biggs' as: "enmity, hatred." Easton’s Bible Dictionary defines enmity as "Deep-rooted hatred." Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines "enmity" as "1. The quality of being an enemy; the opposite of friendship; ill will; hatred; unfriendly dispositions; malevolence. 2. A state of opposition." Genesis 3:15 is one of the most important verses in the Bible. Some translations have used the term "make enemies." I so much wanted to change this word to something more familiar, but none of the options captured the full meaning of "enmity." No other single word begins to describe the relationship between the woman’s seed and the serpent’s seed. This is the Genesis (no pun intended) of all the spiritual warfare to follow. To use any other word here would be an injustice to spiritual warfare being fought through the centuries and the blood of the martyrs spilled for the cause of Christ.

In the phrase "it shall bruise thy head" I changed "it" to "He." Later in the same sentence the same entity is referred to as "his" ("and thou shalt bruise his heel.") This lets us know it is a male person. But who is this make person? Once again, the Bible is the best commentary on the Bible. Two verses make it abundantly clear who "it" is referring to: Romans 16:20 KJV, "And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." Galatians 3:16 KJV, "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Gen. 3:15 does not say that the “seed” was of Adam. This is a foreshadow of the virgin birth. Sadly, "it" is referring to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This update was an automatic. Genesis 3:16
KJV: 16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception ; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
KJVu: 16 To the woman he said, "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception . In pain you shall bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you."

The sentence "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception." Needs more work - The last part is not very clear.

"Sorrow" highlighted in the KJV verse is Strong’s H6089 and is defined by Brown Driver Biggs' as: "pain, hurt, toil, sorrow, labor, hardship." Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines "sorrow" as: "The uneasiness or pain of mind which is produced by the loss of any good. or of frustrated hopes of good, or expected loss of happiness; to grieve; to be sad." In short, grieving or sadness. In most cases mothers are not sad or grieving when they give birth; however, they are often in a lot of pain. As such, the second use of "sorrow" was updated to "pain."

KJV: 17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree , of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it : cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life ;
KJVu: 17 And to Adam he said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it ,' cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow you shall eat of it all the days of your life .
Notes: "Hearkened" highlighted in the KJV verse is Strong’s H8085 and is defined by Brown Driver Biggs' as: "to hear, listen to, obey." In this context, "listen to" makes the most sense and is more understandable than "hearkened to" for most people.

In this context, "guard" makes the most sense and is more descriptive of the purpose of the Cherubims than "keep."
