Thu Jan 05: Clowdy. Temp 50. Went to LaConner & Pleasant Ridge with Bessner to Mrs. Callahans funeral. Ida worse & had Dr. Cook.

Sat Jan 07:Isaac Tillinghast died in Huntington Park Cal. Clowdy & light rains. Ida worse and had Dr. Cook again. Downtown & got Ford bands renewed.

Tue Feb 21: Clowdy. At home in the A.M. Cleaned the chimney & range. Transplanted some tulips. Down town in P.M. A letter from Ida.
Wed Feb 22: Temp 32. 28 at the ranch. Went to the farm and in the PM. went to LaC. to see the ruins of the Baptist Church. The Ford busted and had to leave it at Whitney. Staid at Grants all night.
Thu Feb 23: Temp 30 at the farm. Came to Anacortes with Harry Sanderson and worked around the place moving plants &c. Campbell began moving dirt for the new addition to the house.
Fri Feb 24: Temp 30. Pleasant. Working around the place till noon. Went to the Ranch for the Ford in the P.M. Letter from George. Heard of G.B. Mathewson's death.

Fri Mar 09: Rain last night & showery all day. Mr Campbell here to day. Pouring concrete this PM. Ida downstairs but complaining of not feeling well. Grant sick this week.
Sat Mar 10: Rainy AM. Pleasant PM. Pouring cement. Finished the walls. Donald & wife came this evening.

Tue Jun 12: Pleasant. At home all day choring. National Rep Con at Kansas City started today. Nothing doing on house.
Wed Jun 13: Pleasant. In town & went to the M.E. picknick for Mirriam at Sunset beach. Took Ida & Nettie. Went to Al Grahams(?) boys(?) funeral. Saw Mr. Landsborough.
Thu Jun 14: Clowdy & a light rain in P.M. Went & got Pearl. She went to the D.A.R. meeting on Guemes and took her home in the eve. Listened to the Rep Con via radio at Kansas City. Hoover nominated for President.
Fri Jun 15: Pleasant. Curtis nominated for Vice Pres. Telegram from Frank to day 1000 cases of fish up. Mr & Mrs Landsborough called. Teddy dog left this eve.
Sat Jun 16: Clear & cool. Went to Mt Vernon, LaConner to Burlington to Dairymans Picknick with N. Bessner.

Mon Jul 02: Clowdy. Went for Blackberries got 25 lbs. John Wilson has had a carbuncle for the past two weeks and had it cut out yesterday. Nothing encouraging about getting the house finished.
Tue Jul 03: Clowdy. Poor hay weather. Boarding up and covering window openings & put on the Front Door. Barney went to Seattle to see the crook Campbell.
Wed Jul 04: Pt Clowdy & light shower. At home A.M. went with Nettie to Wilsons & got 4 Gal cherries. John still suffering with carbuncle.
Thu Jul 05: Pleasant. Home in the A.M. took Ida & Nettie to Mr Vernon in the afternoon.
Fri Jul 06: Pleasant. Went to the woods for blackberries with Maloy & F. White. Campbell in town to day.

Sat Jul 14: Fine Day. Went to LaPush and back to Port Angeles at night. Fine trip and good roads.
Sun Jul 15: Fine day. Left P.A. at 7:30 went to Hoods Canal to Hoodsport then to Lake Cushman Power Plant then to Olympia and visit the Capitol building then South Tacoma for the night.
Mon Jul 16: Pleasant but smoky from forest fires. Came home via Kirkland and visited the Shumway family. Dr Don Palmer visited John yesterday and said he had a 50-50 chance to get well. Ida not well.
Tue Jul 17: Pleasant & Dry. Ida in bed all day. Nettie & I went to Burlington Hospital to see John. He seems to be better. Donald & wife came this P.M. Grant finished putting up hay last night.
Wed Jul 18: Thunder shower last night. Pleasant P.M. Fixed a roof over the new garage. Donald and wife went home this eve. Chas. Nelson over to see Abbey & me about Pioneer meeting Aug 29.

Fri Aug 03: Fine Day. At home A.M. In the P.M. Nettie & I went to Burlington to see John Wilson. He is improving. Ida no better. Mrs Sager to see her.

Mon Sep 03: Foggy all day & smokey. Home in the A.M. Took Nettie out to the airport at March's point. Ida not so well.

Sat Dec 01: Semi pleasant. Lovelace & Kelly each 1/2 day. Move the bath tub down stairs & finished the plaster board in the kitchen.
Sun Dec 02: Clear & pleasant. Self in bed most all day. Had a temperature the last two nights. Donald & wife & Ray Pollock here to dinner celebrating Nettie's birth day 48.
Mon Dec 03: Pleasant. Frost 30. Lovelace & Kelly working. Kelly finished. Self helping some. Ida about the same.

Wed Dec 05: Clear & cold. Temp 25. Downtown and order cupboard doors and paid bills. F.N. Haley elected Mayor of Anacortes yesterday.
Thu Dec 06: Temp 29. Pleasant. Took the holly off the old wood house & burned it. Ida miserable all day & had Dr. Shaw. Frank got a ton of "Bryants?" coal. The folks at the Methodist play to night.
Fri Dec 07: Warmer 48. Showery this A.M. Ida no better. Franks folks started for Seattle & Tacoma this eve.
Sat Dec 08: Clowdy. Strong S.E. wind all day. Got the doors for kitchen cupboards. Ida feeling some better to day.
Sun Dec 09: Clowdy. Went to P. Church. Grants folks over & Hilda got the dinner. The folks arrived at 11 P.M.
Mon Dec 10: Hard rain and wind last night. Semi pleasant to day. Fitting & hanging cupboard doors. Paid Lovelace & Kelly for Kitchen work. Total cost 122.75
Tue Dec 11: Cool. Clowdy & windy. Finished hanging kitchen doors. The folks out to Calkin's to night D.A.R. meeting. Ida talking Seattle.
Wed Dec 12: Clowdy. No rain. Ida getting ready for Seattle. Frances new bedroom set came. Hetty Marshall here to day.
Thu Dec 13: Semi pleasant. Frost 35. The Wrights went to Seattle & took Ida to the Hospital. Self down visiting the Judge this P.M.
Fri Dec 14: Part pleasant. Temp 32. Choring about home in the A.M. Downtown in a H.S. game with Abbey in P.M.
Sat Dec 15: Cool & clowdy. Got a letter from Ida. Began to move the old wood house.
Sun Dec 16: Cool & clowdy Temp 32. Went to Ch. & S.S. Wrote to Ida & E Reed. Radio in the evening.
Mon Dec 17: Frost 32. Pleasant. Frank & I finished moving the wood house. Mr Geo Strang died last night.
Tue Dec 18: Cool & pleasant. Temp 36. Put the door in the wood house in the A.M. in P.M. went to Geo Strangs funeral. Methodists here to night for choir practice at Wrights.
Wed Dec 19: Foggy. Cool. Working on wood house. A letter from Ida to Nettie. Frank in his part of the house working. Dr. & Mrs. Cook called this eve.

Fri Dec 21: Rain this A.M. Pleasant P.M. Finished the floor in the wood house. Downtown in the P.M. mailing C. Cards. Went to the M.E. Play Across the Hill. Very good and no audience.
Sat Dec 22: Rain this A.M. Semi pleasant P.M. Down in P.M. bot underware & tie. Put a base around the wood house.
Sun Dec 23: Clowdy & showery. Went to Pres Ch & S.S. and to the concert in the eve.
Mon Dec 24: Light showers & S. wind. Working around wood house some and downtown in the P.M. the Wrights had a fine Chris. Tree this eve.
Tue Dec 25:[margin: Donald, wife & brother here.] Fine Christmas Day. All went to Wilson's and had a fine time & fine dinner. Donald & Helen went to Seattle this evening. Home at 9.30.
Wed Dec 26: Rainy day. Went to Seattle with Frank. Saw Ida. Can't see much improvement. Arrived home at 7.30. Lots of rain.
Thu Dec 27: Semi pleasant. Choring about home. Cutting up old stuff for wood.
Fri Dec 28: Wind & rain. Went to the Ranch. The Christmas west wind damaged the dike considerably near Bay View. Grant & others working on it last night.
Sat Dec 29: Rain last night & some to day. Downtown in the P.M.
Sun Dec 30: Clowdy. Went to S.S. & church A.M. & P.M. Frank's Father & Mother came at 2 P.M. Frank met them at Mount Vernon.
Mon Dec 31: Clowdy. At home all day. Spading garden & wrote to Ida. Visiting with the Wrights.
Tue Jan 01: Clowdy. Frank in bed most all day. Sick last night. At home not doing much. The Wrights here yet. Temp 44.
Wed Jan 02: Clowdy & showery. Frank went to Seattle. He reports Ida very poorly & looking bad. Mr & Mrs Wright here yet.
Thu Jan 03: Cool & clowdy. Light frost. In the house about all day reading "With Malice Toward None". The new Council took office last night. Mayor also.
Fri Jan 04: Semi pleasant. Frank took his folks home to day. Downtown this P.M. Not feeling first class this week. Miserable cough.
