Mon Dec 26: Temp 32. Went to Burlington to see the efforts of the Flood. This is the worst eve. Break at Riverside 300 ft south of Burlington. Not less than 500 houses wrecked & land ruined. Sun Feb 26: Temp 32 Pleasant. Went to Presby church in the A.M. & Christian in the eve. They launched the boat this A.M. It only went 100 ft. but is all right to work on. John's folks here this P.M.
Mon Feb 27: Frost. Pleasant. Went to the Ranch this P.M. & got five sacks "dressing". Grant plowing with tractor.

Sun Mar 05: Frost. Pleasant. Went to Presby Church A.M. & P.M. was out to Whitneys at 5.30. They finished launching the boat this A.M. and towed it to the Apex Dock.
Mon Mar 06: Frost. Cold S.E. wind. The Citizen's Bank opened to day business brisk. At home & downtown.
Tue Mar 07: Frost. Pleasant. Went to the Ranch. Ida also. She had a "blend spell". Grant had a bearing burned out of his tractor. It took all day to fix it. He has about 35 acres plowed.
Wed Mar 08: No rain. Choring around home. Made a wheel barrow for Wrights. Planted lettuce & carrots.
Thu Mar 09: Cold south wind. Went to Mr Vernon to a river ???????? meeting. Took Peter Miller & wife.

Sun Jun 11: Pleasant. Went to Urban Derr's to Mrs Scotts birthday party. Took Ida, Nettie & Frances & Mrs Ch Moore. Went to Presby Church in the eve.
Mon Jun 12: Pleasant & dry. No sign of rain. Choring & washed in the A.M. In the P.M. went to Lake Campbell & Antone Christianson's. Ida & Mrs Davis went along. Mr Erholm drowned yesterday fishing in Lake Campbell. Body not found.
Tue Jun 13: Warm & dry. At home in the A.M. & took Nettie, Gladys & the youngsters out to Weaverlings for a swim. Driest spring for many years. Late oats will be a failure unless it rains soon,.
Wed Jun 14: Dry. Ida's birthday & Flag Day. Went to Boy piknic at Weaverlings & to Flag exercises in the evening. Grant's folks & John's boys here.
Thu Jun 15: Pleasant. Went to Mount Vernon with Bessner. Mr Erholm's body found. Went to see Annie Chitwood in the eve.
Fri Jun 16: Pleasant. Went to the Ranch & plant some more peas & put screws on the safe.
Sat Jun 17: Pleasant with driving wind. Driest on record at this date. Went to LaConner to the big picknick. Largest crowd ever in LaConner. Farm organizations gave the eats. Cream, ice cream, coffee, sugar, &c.
Sun Jun 18: Pleasant. Went to Presby church & to Children Day Exs. at the M.E. Ch in the eve. In the P.M. was out to Similk Bay for dinner.
Mon Jun 19: Dry. No sign of rain. Had the battery & spring mounted on the Ford. Wrote to Geo yesterday, mailed this A.M.
Tue Jun 20: Pleasant & dry. Home in the A.M. went to LaConner in the P.M., Ida & Nettie wet to Nellie Carter's announcement party. Early oats look fairly well yet.

Sat Jun 24: Temp 78°. Clear & warm & dry. Cleaning the bedroom. Mrs Jason here in the P.M. cleaning. Got the Atwater Kent system loosened up. Cost $2.00. Bot new con rug for the bedroom. Anacortes Rose show to day.
Sun Jun 25: Warm & dry. Went to Presby Church A.M. & P.M. Went to Guemes with the Howes in the P.M.
Mon Jun 26: Warm & dry. Went to the Ranch. Worked in the garden some. Looked over the digs(?) also fixed the platform for the Kitchen steps. I don't see how the oats can average over 15 sks per acre unless it rains at once. I estimate the lower hay field at 2 tons.
Tue Jun 27: Warm & dry. Went down town & paid for Insurance, Chautauqua & Dr. St. Pierre. Saw the Mack R.R. bus. In the P.M. we visited Annie Chitwood. She don't seem to gain any. Took supper at Mr Williams and took them out to Frank Whites after supper.
Wed Jun 28: Weather just the same. No prospect of rain. Spent the day making an ice box. Went to Whitneys for water in the eve.
Thu Jun 29: Warm & dry. In town all day. Went to Mr Judd's funeral. He was 96 years of age.

Fri Aug 04: Dry & pleasant. Went with Nettie & Frances to Weaverlings to a Methodist S.S. picknick. Garton Chase of LaPlume Pa called for an hour.

Fri Aug 11: Clowdy & a hard shower. Very heavy at the farm. Went to the farm. Took lumber & shingles & worked on the roof, putting on saddle boards, &c. The Ford got wet & took an hour to start it.
Sat Aug 12: Heavy rain this A.M. About one inch in the last three days. Pleasant in the P.M. Working around the house.
Sun Aug 13: Wrote to Geo. Pleasant. Went to Presby church A.M. & P.M. Rev Moore preached. Went to call on Ferguson's & Chitwoods in the P.M. Annie Chitwood failing.
Mon Aug 14: Pleasant. went to the farm & worked on windows all day. Grant cutting wheat. Oats about ripe. Town decorated for Elks.
Tue Aug 15: Rain but light. At home cleaning rugs, walls, mowed the lawn & made step ladder.
Wed Aug 16: Beautiful day. Went to the Ranch and to the Fair at Burlington. Brought Harris & another band man home. Two Elks came this eve. Mr Oldham & Mr Dickover of Bremerton.
Thu Aug 17: Fine day. Staid in town. Went to a Ball game & watched the Elks in the P.M. Ida has five roomers.
Fri Aug 18: Fine day. Convention going strong. Lot of B???? in evidence. Went to the Band contest & to Cap Sante to see the Canoe races. Grant & Hilda here.
Sat Aug 19: Rain till 2 P.M. The Elks paraded just the same. Grant's folks over. The ones staying here left except three. Down town with Nettie in the eve. Two battle ships here for three days.

Tue Nov 07: Election day. Pleasant. In town all day. At the library, polling place quite often.
Wed Nov 08: fine day. Went with Frank to Bay View to see Grant & to Mt Vernon. We brot a ton potatos. Rec'd $1000 for oats & paid the 2d half of the 1921 taxes. Went to Betts meeting. Ida also.
Thu Nov 09: Went to meeting in eve. Beautiful day. In town in in the A.M. went to the Ranch in the P.M. Ida also. Let Robertson have ten sacks potatos.
Fri Nov 10: Pleasant. In town all day. Went to Mrs Betts meeting in the eve.
Sat Nov 11: Beautiful day. Armistice Day. Choring around home. Downtown in the A.M. Reading "Webster Man".
Sun Nov 12: Frost 34. Pleasant. Went to Presby Church in A.M. & to Mrs Betts meeting in the eve. Ida not well.
Mon Nov 13: Frost 32. Pleasant. Working around home spading garden, &c.
Tue Nov 14: Foggy. Thick fog this A.M. Frank came from Vancouver last night. Went to show "School Days" in the eve.
Wed Nov 15: Rainy P.M. Ida sick all night & to day. Strong wind this eve.
Thu Nov 16:[margin: (Rainy Day.)] Rain one inch yesterday & last night. Washed & chored around home.
Fri Nov 17: Showery & windy. Went to the Ranch. Road rough. Grant came from Olympia last night. Got a chick of Grant for Ida. Draw bridge fill not done yet.
Sat Nov 18: Frost. Pleasant day. In town all day. Choring & down town. Ida up to day.
Sun Nov 19: Rain nearly an inch. Went to Presby Ch in the A.M. & M.E> in the eve. Frank in this P.M. Ida not well.
Mon Nov 20: Pleasant. Down town in the P.M. Took Ida to see Dr. Shaw.
Tue Nov 21: Fine day. Went to the ranch & got six sacks of manure for roses. Still at the draw bridge fill. Grant & men making approach at bridge north of Whitney station.
Wed Nov 22: Pleasant. Foggy A.M. Put manure around the roses. In the P.M. went to Mrs Whitneys for eggs & water.
Thu Nov 23: Frost. Pleasant. Went to Mount Vernon on Drainage Dist. business. Home at 5 P.M.
Fri Nov 24: Pleasant. In Mount Vernon Drainage court. Home at 4 P.M.
Sat Nov 25: Fine day. In Mount Vernon. Trial going slow and adjourned till Tuesday.
Sun Nov 26: Another fine day. Like Oct 1st. Went to the Presby church A.M. & P.M.
Mon Nov 27: Rain light in the A.M. At home & down town. The "Retriever" came in with a propeller gone. Was towed in from Smiths Island.
Tue Nov 28: Light rain. Pleasant P.M. Went to Mount Vernon to the Drainage trial & Bessner went with me. Ida not well. Margie Haupton & the Baptist preached called. Rev Hemmerly.

Wed Nov 29: Cool & no rain. At home. Choring & washing. Took Ida down town in the P.M.
Thu Nov 30: Thanksgiving. Pleasant. Light frost. Went to Thanksgiving services at the Presby Ch. Mr Hemmerly the Baptist preach preached. Had dinner with the Wrights. Ida not well to day but was over to dinner. Thus endeth the finest November I remember of. Only two inches of rain and 32° lowest temperature.

Fri Dec 01: Cool & clowdy & rain in Mt Vernon. Went to the Drainage Trial at Mt Vernon. Frank went on to Seattle. D. Ball & Abbott made nothing by sueing.
Sat Dec 02: Rain this A.M. Light. In town all day. Paid bills. Rev Mr McGran called. Mrs W.F. Robinson called also. Arthur Ferguson died this A.M.
Sun Dec 03: Cool & clowdy. Went to the Presby Church in the A.M. & Baptist in the eve. Went to the Elks Memorial in the P.M. Ida worse.
Mon Dec 04: Cool but pleasant. Snow in Mt Vernon & Seattle. Went to A. Ferguson's funeral at Mt Vernon & took the preacher Mr Hemmerly. Ida in bed all day. Dr Shaw here.
Tue Dec 05: Temp 30. Mrs Howe acquired a baby girl, Rosalina. In town all day. Snowing this A.M. & last night. 2 inches & drifting. Strong N. wind. Lee Munks died yesterday.
Wed Dec 06: Temp 27°. Cold N. Wind. At home & went to L. Munks funeral at the Elks home in the P.M. Reading "Trail of the Axe". City election. Tuesday last. Dr. Brooks elected mayor.
Thu Dec 07: Temp 20°. Clear & cold wind gone down. Dr. Shaw here. Ida had a very bad night & in bed all day. Mrs Williams called.
Fri Dec 08: Temp 30. Three inches more snow but warmer to night. Ida in bed all day. Self eating at Wrights two meals per day since Tuesday. South east wind to day.
Sat Dec 09: Light snow & also rain. Snow melting. Ida no better. Washed & choring around home.
Sun Dec 10: Temp 30. Clear & cold. Went to Presbyterian church in the A.M. The Williams here in the P.M. also the Wrights & Mrs Darcy. Ida in bed.
Mon Dec 11: Ida in bed. Temp 23. Clear & cold. Choring & keeping fires. Down town in the P.M. Temperature at 9.30 - 22. Send for Yoghurt food.
Tue Dec 12: Temp 18° - 15° down town. 10 at ranch. Clear & cold. Went to the Ranch & to LaConner to get Bank Cer Renewed. Ida about the same.
Wed Dec 13: Temp 24°. Clear & Pleasant. At home & down town.
Thu Dec 14: Temp 28. Pleasant. Ida worse & in bed all day. Down town in the P.M. Roads hard & smooth. Fine for sleighing, if there were any sleighs.
Fri Dec 15: Temp 20 last night & 25 this A.M. Clear & pleasant. Frank started for Seattle this A.M. with Dr. St. Pierre. Ida in bed all day. Down town in the P.M. 32 at night & snowing.
Sat Dec 16: Temp 30. Pleasant. One inch snow last night. At home & down town. Ida up in P.M.
Sun Dec 17: Temp 19. Clear & cold. Ida in bed as usual. Went to Presby church in the A.M. and home in the eve. Warmer at night.

Tue Dec 19: Showery. Snow & ice gone. Nothing special to record. Frank & Davis went to Seattle on boat business. Ida about the same.
Wed Dec 20: Chinook wind. Temp 48. In town all day.
Thu Dec 21: Pleasant. No rain. Temp 45. At home all day. Reading & choring. Frank home. Their shaft & wheel came this A.M.
Fri Dec 22: Strong S.E. wind At home & down town.
Sat Dec 23: Showery & warm. 52. Same as yesterday. Grants folks over this eve. Ida in bed as usual.
Sun Dec 24: Rain hard last night & also this P.M. Weldon Griffith buried today on Guemes. Went to church A.M. Presby & to the cantata in the eve.
Mon Dec 25: Out to Howe's to dinner with the Wrights. Clowdy but no rain. Dr. Burdon called. Temp 50.
Tue Dec 26: Windy. Went to the ranch. Road bad. Tides low, considering time of year & wind.
Wed Dec 27: Wind & rain. Temp 50. Sunny to day. Battery at the garage being charged. This eve cooler & west wind.
Thu Dec 28: Wrights to Mt. Vernon. In town all day. Nothing unusual.
Fri Dec 29: Pleasant but light rain at night. Went to ranch and helped fix up the granary dock.
Sat Dec 30: Temp 40. Clowdy & rain at night. Went to Mt.Vernon to get car license. Frank went also. Ida not so well.
Sun Dec 31: Stormy wind & rin. Went to Presby church. John Wilson's folks here also Frank Leamer's. Wrote to Geo yesterday. Mistake Friday. Lelia Sumner Edwards died this A.M. [margin: Spedometer Jan 13250.]
Mon Jan 01: Pleasant A.M. Rain at night. Ida not well. Quiet day. At home.
Tue Jan 02: Very stormy day. Rain & wind. Went to Mrs. Edwards funeral in the P.M. Rev Mr. Hemmerly preached.
Wed Jan 03: Clowdy but no rain. In town all day. Reading "To Him That Hath". Connor.
Thu Jan 04: Temp 45. Clowdy south wind. In town. Ida worse and Dr. Shaw here.
Fri Jan 05: Rain last night & some to day. Ida in bed. Frank & self washed the car. Temp 45°
Sat Jan 06: Rain last night & strong west wind to day. Ida worse all night & had Dr. to day. High tide. Dyke badly damage at Peth's & Paulsons. Considerable Peth's flooded.
Sun Jan 07: Rain & highest tide of the season so far. Went to Presbyterian church A.M. & P.M. Ida in bed all day. Frank went to Seattle.
Mon Jan 08: Temp 49. Showery & windy. Went to Bay View to see about dyke & to the ranch also and Kalso's. Grant in Olympia. The Legislature session began to day. Ida no better.
Tue Jan 09: Temp 44. Rain last night & all day to day. Went to ranch to help tally oats. Roads from here to Summit worse than for ten years.
