Mon Apr 12: Went to Mrs Bessner's funeral and was one of the bearers. She was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Wrote to Ida after I came home. Shower in the P.M.
Tue Apr 13: In town all day mowing lawn & cleaning up. Showery. Downtown in the P.M.

Tue Dec 28: Heavy went & north wind all day & colder. At home nearly all day finished reading "Heart of the Sunset".
Wed Dec 29:[margin: Took nurse Atkinson out to Crawfords.] Ida about the same. Grant here. Frost 34° under the porch. Ground frozen pretty hard. Strong N. wind all night & pleasant to day.
Thu Dec 30:[margin: Frost 26°] At home most of the day. Grant & Frank went to Seattle via Boat. Dr Frost here also Dr Burdon. Cold day & sprinkling snow.
Fri Dec 31:[margin: Frost 32°] Sprinkling snow. Ida in bed all day. Self took Lee's car down town. Edna W. called in the eve. Booze goes out at 12 to night. Reading "Inside the Cup". They quit work on the Knight Dam to day.
