Tue Jul 04: Jake did not work. All went to LaConner to the celebration. Came home at 10 oclock.
Wed Jul 05: Jake plowed. S. & T. did not work. T. got home from the dance at 5 A.M. Clarence White came with him. Mrs. Wallace came home with us last night.
Thu Jul 06: Tillinghast sick with cold. Trimble not working. S. worked on the barn. Jake plowed. Pleasant. Winter oats falling down. [margin: Had fresh new potatos & peas.]

Sat Jul 15: Trimble fixed fence in fore noon and did not work in the P.M. Jake helped fix fence to keep pigs our of the garden and worked in the shop the balance of the day. S. worked on hay rigging. Al & Martha Leamer came down last night also Mrs. Leamer. T. hauled timber for barn floor, a load of shakes and fixed fence. [margin: Rainy some.]

Mon Jul 17: S. & Trimble worked on the barn finished shaking it. T. & Highbarger fixed fence and cut a road through the oats for Harvestor and began make bridge across lagoon.
Tue Jul 18: Trimble haying. Tried the Harvester cut the three cornered piece of balunction oats. Jake & Vinz bound. Jake worked for himself in the P.M. S. cut oats with cradle and went to Ball's to change cradles. T. shocked oats and worked on bridge over lagoon. [margin: Very pleasant.]

Thu Jul 27: T. & Trimble worked hauling day. S. put sun shade on Harvestor and cradled grain. cut the Rye. Jake cradled volunteer and bound oats. Hanson bound oats. [margin: Very warm and pleasant.]

Sun Nov 12: S. & Ida at Fidalgo. J. P. Conner came down last evening with a load of barley. The rest staid at home.
Mon Nov 13: S. got home and went to LaConner with a load of oats for Conner. Johnnie & Upson finished harrowing in oats. [margin: Hard rain last night.]
Tue Nov 14: S. came home from the station in the eve. The men moved the threshing machine & sewed sacks. [margin: Rain all last night.]
Wed Nov 15: Johnnie & Tillinghast hauling straw. Upson & Sisson sacking oats. Eddie went to D'Arcys. Glove brought over a load of shakes and took some chicken feed.
Thu Nov 16: All worked down to the barn sowing sacks. Rainy & Clowdy. Siegfred hauled his straw. [margin: Rain.]
Fri Nov 17: Rainy in the P.M. All sowed sacks. Jake & Trimble hauled straw some for us.

Mon Nov 20: Made barn doors & sowed sacks. Tried to kill a calf but failed.
Tue Nov 21: Till & Upson went to La Conner with a load of grain for Andrews. Hauled some plank dow to the barn for wharf. The schooner is in the bay after grain. C. Bowdin. Fine day. [margin: Fine day.]
Wed Nov 22: The schooner came up this morning. Began loading in the P.M. Jake & Trimble & Jake helping. Rainy day. Mr Ball's brother in law came today. Tillinghast & Upson came home. [margin: Callahan ]
Thu Nov 23: Finished loading. Jake & Trimble helped 3013 bushels. Eddie went to Darcy's and got lute of butter.
Fri Nov 24: T. went to LaConner with Jim Gaches. Johnnie sowed sacks in the P.M. Hauled wood from the McCollum wood shed. Upson filed saws in the A.M. and the P.M. Upson & S. cut timber for machine shed. [margin: Rain last night. School meeting in the eve.]
Sat Nov 25: All worked on the machine shed. got the posts set and rafters up.
Sun Nov 26: S. & Wife went to Pleasant Ridge. The rest staid at home.

Tue Nov 28: Upson & Johnnie went to the station and took a load of oats for Carlson. S. got home from LaConner at night. [margin: Kelly arrived. Upson started for home.]

Thu Nov 30: S. split cuts for siding up shed in the A.M. and went to Glovers in P.M. with a load of grain and brought a load of shakes.

Mon Dec 04: S. made sail in the fore noon and went to the station in the eve or P.M. Ed Stacey with him. Took 16 sacks to Andrews. T. worked in the barn sacking grain &c. [margin: High tides.]
Tue Dec 05: S. got home at 8 P.M. T. done chores fixed pig pen, &c.
Wed Dec 06: Dug ditch in the grain field.

Tue Dec 19: Finished sowing the lot east of ware house. Sowed 12 bushels on 9 acres. T. went to the station in the P.M. Took wheat for Andrews. [margin: Sowed wheat. Fine weather.]
Wed Dec 20: Finished harrowing the wheat and began plowing stubble across Allen slough. T. got home from station. Cow got mired in the ditch up at Siegfreds line. S. fixed some seed wheat with vitriol on.
Thu Dec 21: S. & T. plowed in the wheat stubble. Misty & foggy.
Fri Dec 22: S. & Eddie plowed. T. started for Whatcom to spend Christmas. Misty & foggy all day. [margin: Jake plowing for himself.]
Sat Dec 23: Rainy in the A.M. did not plow any. Ed worked in the wood shed. S. went down and shoveled over the wheat and fixed a step at the horse barn door.

Mon Dec 25: Spent Christmas at home. Ed. up to Allen's. Till in Whatcom. Arch & Jim McDonald were here in the morning. The Perry is loading grain at Ball's.

Wed Dec 27: S. came from the station at 3 P.M. T got back from Whatcom. Ed done the chores. [margin: Rainy]

Wed Jan 10: Heavy west wind all day. T hauled wood some. S. fixed wagon tongue. All went down and fixed dam at 4 P.M.
Thu Jan 11: S. & T. worked putting in sluice box up toward big lagoon. Dug the outlet and got lumber together for box. Ed cut wood. [margin: Very pleasant.]
Fri Jan 12: Finished sluice box & put it in the dyke. Ed cut wood.
Sat Jan 13: T. finished covering the box. S. & Ed cut wood. Warm & pleasant.
Sun Jan 14: All staid at home. Ed Siegfred, Miss Palmer & Miss Ida Conner called & took dinner with us.
Mon Jan 15: Rained all day. Jake worked in the Blacksmith shop. S. filed saw & made whiffletree. Ed. & S. cut & split wood. Hard wind in the eve.
Tue Jan 16: S. went to LaConner. Highbarger & Trimble killed Hogs. Rained very hard. [margin: Rain all day.]
Wed Jan 17: S. cut up the hog and sawed wood. T. hauled wood & went up to Trimbles and got some potatos. Pleasant. Frosty.
Thu Jan 18: Sisson cut wood. Ed also. T. hauled wood and fixed the hog pen out to the McCallum house. [margin: Frosty.]
Fri Jan 19: S. went down to see Jeff about going to LaConner with Carlson's oats. Cut wood the rest of the day. T. hauled wood and posts for cow pasture fence. Went down to the Gorman & Parrish house in the morning.
Sat Jan 20: Sent Carlson's oats with Jefferent(?) Joe. Cut wood some and fix a gate of the box by the ware house. March came over and brought Mrs. Leamer.
Sun Jan 21: Pleasant day. Al Leamer, Mrs Wallace and Mrs Cornelius came down to see us.
Mon Jan 22: Till cut wood. S. Oaseting(?). Had a dance at Allen's in the eve.
