Freemasonry

"Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these." - Leviticus 5:4

Introduction1

Freemasonry and other similar "secret" organizations appear to be harmless fellowship gatherings. Many of them appear to promote belief in God. However, upon closer examination, we find that the only belief requirement is not that one must believe in the True and Living God, but rather, that one must believe in the existence of a "Supreme Being", which includes the "gods" of Islam, Hinduism, or any other world religion. The unbiblical and anti-Christian beliefs and practices of this organization are partially hidden beneath an outward appearance of a supposed compatibility with the Christian faith.

When a Christian takes the oath of Freemasonry, he is swearing to the following doctrines that God has pronounced false and sinful:

  1. That salvation can be gained by man's good works.
  2. That Jesus is just one of many equally revered prophets.
  3. That they will remain silent in the Lodge and not talk of Christ.
  4. That they are approaching the Lodge in spiritual darkness and ignorance, when the Bible says Christians are already in the light, children of the light, and are indwelt by the Light of the World-Jesus Christ.
  5. By demanding that Christians take the Masonic oath, Masonry leads Christians into blasphemy and taking the name of the Lord in vain.
  6. Masonry teaches that its G.A.O.T.U. [Great Architect of the Universe], whom Masonry believes is the true God of the universe, is representative of all gods in all religions. Note: the "G" in the Freemason symbol refers to the "Great Architect."
  7. Masonry makes Christians take a universalist approach in their prayers, demanding a "generic" name be used so as not to offend non-believers who are Masonic "brothers".
  8. By swearing the Masonic oath and participating in the doctrines of the Lodge, Christians are perpetuating a false gospel to other Lodge members, who look only to Masonry's plan of salvation to get to heaven. By their very membership in such a syncretistic type organization, they have severely compromised their witnessing as Christians.
  9. By taking the Masonic obligation, the Christian is agreeing to allow the pollution of his mind, spirit, and body by those who serve false gods and believe false doctrines.

Inside Freemasonry2

Albert Pike, a 33-degree Freemason, attributes modern Masonry to being identical to the ancient Mysteries; he states Freemasonry is the successor to mysticism. The Craft Legends believe Freemasonry derives from Babel and before. In 1754, this connection was underscored in the book, The Free Mason Examin'd, which concluded the rituals of Freemasonry were entrenched in the building of the Tower of Babel and in Nimrod.

According to Richard Noone, the word pyramid translated as "glorious light" in ancient Egyptian. This translation connects allegories of the sun and light to the pyramids. to Osiris the sun god, and to the Masons. Quite simply, the All-Seeing Eye on the dollar represents Osiris, which was an allegory representing both the son and the enlightenment of knowledge. The sun was a universally celebrated symbol for the great creator. In mystic organizations, light is always figurative for knowledge and enlightenment.

Masonic initiates, as with all pagan religions, are escorted unto a Path, or Way, to enlightenment of knowledge (gnosis) as they push through the various levels, degrees or tests of initiation. Freemasons believe their members are the sons of light. Alford notes the name freemasonry was derived from ancient Egyptian phre, meaning sun, and mas meaning child; thus combined it means "child of light."

Annu Lucis is the Masons sacred calendar, and is translated as "Year of Light," which some believe began in the year 4000 BC. This is the Freemason's year zero. The year God expelled Lucifer from heaven, according to Epperson, and the year when Satan deceived Adam and Eve.

Freemasonry is a fraternity within a fraternity, utilizing an outer organization designed to conceal an inner brotherhood of powerful, modern potentates known as the Elect, or "Adepts." The outer fraternity, which includes the lowest levels of initiation, is the visible fraternal society promoting business and good causes. The inner fraternity is the arcane (Snake) Brotherhood dedicated to the esoteric Mysteries of ancient Egypt and beyond.

The members of the lower degrees are not taught the innermost secrets. According to Albert Pike, only the Adepts the Legomin symbols. The true secrets are kept from all but Adepts, Sages and Elect through employing false explanations for symbols to mislead those that deserve to be mislead, including lower level Freemasons. The Masonic Order, at its core, can be described as occultist. Webster's dictionary describes occult as "hidden ... supernatural."

Alice Bailey, a renowned principle in the New Age movement, describes the masonic fraternity as far more occultist than many realize. It is the training school for advanced occultists. Bailey further notes the foremost channels for preparing for the New Age are the church, Freemasonry and education.

In their pursuit of world government, Freemasons key to their utopian doctrine is the destruction of both private property and the right to worship the true God. In addition, they also strive to prevent the right to set up a government based on the protection of man's God-given rights to life, liberty and property, through Progressive socialism.

Who is the god of Freemasonry?3

Once you reach the highest levels of Freemasonry you learn who the "Great Architect of the Universe" is. It should be no shock to you that it is none other than Lucifer, the light bearer (aka Satan).

The apostle Paul warned us that Satan masquerades as an angel of light in 2 Corinthians 11:14, "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."

Albert Pike, a 33-degree Freemason and author wrote the following in his book Morals and Dogma:

Lucifer, the Light-Bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the light, and with its splendors intolerable blinds feeble, sensual or selfish Souls? Doubt it not!

He also wrote:

That which we must say to a crowd is-We worship a God, but it is the God that one adores without superstition. To you, Sovereign Grand Inspectors General, we say this, that you may repeat it to the Brethren of the 32nd, 31st, and 30th degrees-The Masonic Religion should be, by all of us initates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian Doctrine. If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay [another name for the one true God of the Bible] whose deeds prove his cruelty, perdify and hatred of man, barbarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and his priests, calumniate him? Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also god. For the eternal law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black, for the absolute can only exist as two gods: darkness being necessary to the statue, and the brake to the locomotive. Thus, the doctrine of Satanism is a heresy; and the true and pure philosophical religion is the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay; but Lucifer, God of Light and God of Good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the God of Darkness and Evil.

Conclusion1

Freemasonry at its core is not a Christian organization. There are many Christians who have left Freemasonry after discovering what it is truly all about. Masonry denies and contradicts the clear teaching of Scripture on numerous issues. Masonry also requires people to engage in activities which the Bible condemns. As a result, a Christian should not be a member of any secret society or organization that has any connection with Freemasonry.

Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If you think you are already saved, then I recommend you take the Salvation Test, just to make sure. Otherwise, you can learn how to be saved here.
