 DISCLAIMER
------------
'Universal Names' pack (UNP) is fully unofficial collection of names for non-commercial
using only. It can be used and free distributed absolutely without any fee. Any guarantees,
warranties and all similar things also not given. I will try to support this pack but can't
promice it ;).
Purpose of UNP is to make Close Combat modders' life a bit better ;)

 WHY
-----

Creation of UNP was caused by 2 reasons:
1) I knew that some Close Combat modders have some problems with getting of national names.
2) I discovered possibility to make 'real multinational coalitions' in the game.

 WHAT
------
I used some avaliable materials (from some public internet sites or sent me by friends
many thanks to all these people) and compiled some ready-to-use with Close Combat text files.
I tried to make files for most nations that took part in wars, conflicts and even coalitions
(like Warsaw Pact and Nato) in XX century. Not all files are equally full, not all countries
are represented (for example Mongolia or Black Africa). Some not presented countries (like
Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America) could be made using names of their former
metropolies.
Also I have some materials on many other countries but dont think that it's neccessary to make
files for them just now. If you need something special - let me know via email (see contacts).

 WHAT EXACTLY
--------------
Below you can see list of avaliable files in following format:

	YUNames.txt - Yugoslavia (1230)

 HOW TO USE
------------
The first (and simpliest way) is just replace original *Names.txt with any of these and enjoy ;)

But the second way exists, it's a bit more complex but alse more promising.
Maybe some people knew it before, but I discovered independently the way to make multi-national
armies where each nation have his own names (no tank crews with French, US, British and
Russian members mixed in one crew for Allies, for example).

We have column 'Nation?' (QClone shows it) in GETeams and AlsTeams .adb files.
It may be any number between 0 and 7. You should have following names files in Data/Base folder
to use these digits:

0 - USNames.txt - for US
1 - RUNames.txt - for USSR (Russia)
2 - BRNames.txt - for UK
3 - FRNames.txt - for France
4 - PONames.txt - for Poland
5 - GENames.txt - for Germany
6 - ITNames.txt - for Italy
7 - JANames.txt - for Japan

Sure, you can use any needed names list in any file (just rename it ;) )
Any digits can be used at any side.
So, this is the way to make foreign legions in German army with Russian, French, Albanian etc names,
also you can make command units for them with German names....

Simple and nice, imho...

All these things were checked for CC5. Maybe it works in other versions - you can check ;)

||
|| BY THE WAY
||------------
||One more thing could be done, I found it at the same time when working on Red Storm Rising mod.
||National insignia could be separated too (but only up to 4 insignia for BOTH sides at all).
||In RSR mod we replaced Germans with NATO, and we had 3 slots for their insignia (1 slot was used for
||Soviet army).
||I'll note again - it seems that any side can use any of (or all) 4 slots for insignia.
||
||I used (regulated by Icon Style column):
||for Germans - wermaht slot (3)
||for USA - luftwaffe slot (2)
||for UK - SS slot. (1)
||
||France used US, Canadian - British and NL/Belgium used German insignia in my local RSR version.
||
||Sure you should made graphics for insignia and pack it to gadgets.
||
||I have not explored some things in this stuff, some strange things are noticed... maybe insignia
||potential is much more...
||...but readme file for UNP is not for all this problems.
||

 WHAT NEEDED
-------------
To use multi-national coalitions you shold have QClone tool by Sgt_Wilson and CplFilth. It's included
to this pack (TOOLS folder).

 PROBLEMS
----------
1. If Close Combat will crash after installing UNP files, check if the number in the first string of
*Names.txt file less or equal with number of names in this file.
2. Gurkhs have too long names to fit them into small soldiers' montior during gameplay. They can cover
with soldier's profession. 'Shit happens' (C) Forrest Gump.
