Come out of her, my people, That ye be not partakers of her sins, And that ye receive not of her plagues.
Dear Minister of Christ:
Greetings in the name of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.
My name is Robert P. Terry. I have been a Christian for over 20 years and currently live in South Korea. Forgive me for taking time out of your busy schedule, but if you could spare a few minutes, I would like to share some of the deep concerns that I have about the future.
America and Europe have been suffering moral and cultural decline since the end of the 19th century. However, the past few decades have been particularly troubling. As Christians, we see what is taking place right before our eyes, but because of demoralization and the normalization of ungodliness, we stand by powerless, simply sighing and groaning within our hearts to God.
The advancement of technologies has accompanied this moral and cultural decline. It is sometimes said that technology is just a tool, being neither morally good nor bad. However, technology is not created in a vacuum. It can be created with evil intentions or controlled by people with evil intentions.
I believe we are facing threats from various technologies that have the potential to enslave us and force us to do things unacceptable to God. As Christians, I believe it is our duty to reject technologies that endanger our way of life and worship.
In particular, I think we need to reject 5G, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), digital and biometric IDs, implantable microchips, advanced forms of AI (such as ChatGPT), virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR). All these technologies have the potential to be used for tyrannical control and transhumanism. Our ancestors lived without these technologies for thousands of years. We just don't need them.
If we refuse to use these technologies for conscience's sake, we might lose our ability to participate in society. However, I do believe that the cost of accepting them is too great, both for us and our children. Therefore, I have decided not to use them, regardless of the consequences, and I am asking you to consider doing the same. Even if you don't agree with me, I would still like you to think about it and pray about it in consideration of future generations.
I believe we are currently in a great spiritual war that requires righteous action by the people of God. Righteous action simply means not participating in evil or tyranny, either directly or indirectly. We have to be brave.
May the Lord Jesus give you wisdom and courage as we face the future.
Sincerely,
Robert P. Terry
