The Edit Bar

The Edit bar normaly is displayed below the standard toolbar and looks like the picture below.

The straight arrows represent the menu points from Edit/Move/<-X to Edit/Move/Z->. You use them to move the actual selected part.

The round arrows are buttons for the menu points Edit/Rotate/<-X to Edit/Rotate/Z->. Use them to rotate the selected part.

With these buttons the part moves by a certain predefined step with and is rotated by a certain predefined angle.

The last button represents the enter position and rotation dialog where coordinates and orientation values can be entered.

These buttons are active in the Place Mode only!

The Movement Bar

This tool bar has different functionallity depending on wether the program is in Edit- or View-Mode.

In Edit Mode the tool bar can be used to select the first, previous, next or last item of the model, while in View Mode this bar is used to navigate through the steps of the model (First step, previous step, next step, last step - which is the complete model).

The Element Bar

From left to right:

The brick is used to add another part to the model. The part is inserted after the currently selected item or at the end of the model. A dialog will pop-up where you can select the new part.

The bubble will insert a comment.

The 'P' inserts a simple STEP into the model.

The next button inserts a rotation step (A step after which your model will be show with a different viewing angle).

The button with the red cross, inserts a rotation end step (causes the model to be drawn with the original viewing angle).

The colored button can be used to define a background image to be used when viewing the model.

The next button, inserts a CLEAR command and causes the screen to be cleared during viewing mode.

The last button inserts a Buffer Exchange command.

The element bar allows to add parts, comments, steps, rotation steps, rotation end steps and background images to the model and therefor provides a quicker way than using the menu.

The View Bar

Explanation from left to right:

The picture symbol is used to set the View Mode.

The pointer/pencil symbol activates the Place Mode.

The hand symbol is used to activate the Move Mode.

The symbol with the cross in the rectangle activates the Size Mode.

The last button toggles the "Draw to selection only" setting.

The Modification Bar

The first two symbols (the ghosts) activate/deactivate the ghost mode for the selected elements.

The two items on the right of this tool bar are active in edit-mode only. The button without the cross groups selected items, while the button with the cross ungroups a selected group.

The next three buttons hide the selected items, unhide them or unhide all items.

The next button performs a snap to grid operation on all selected items. The new position depends also on the actual grid and it's settings.

The button most right opens the "Rotation Point" Dialog.

The Zoom Bar

The buttons showing numbers represent zoom factors. 300 stands for 300%, 200 for 200% and so on.

The last button on the right side of the tool bar is used to perform the zoom to fit calculation which zooms the model in each view so that the model fills the drawing area.

These buttons are always applied to all views at the same time. To change the zooming for a single view pane use the zoom-mode or select a zoom option from the pop-up menu of the pane.

The Expert Bar

The expert bar allows insertion of LDraw primitives (from left to right) Lines, Triangle surface, Qualiteral surface, Optional Line.

For each of this items a dialog will pop-up where you have to enter the points describing the primitive.

The Color Box

The color box allows to assign colors without opening another window. To change the color of a part just click on a color in the color box. To choose another color click the "More" button.

It is possible to customize the colors of this box. Just right click on a color and the well known color dialog is displayed. Either select one of the available colors or maybe create a custom color. When you close the dialog by clicking the "Ok" button the new color is taken over by this box.

Customizations are stored in the active Model.
