Premiere Pro
- To reset your Premiere Pro workspace: Window > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout
- Video transitions: Window > Effects > Video Transitions
- See and change your resolution: Sequence > Sequence Settings
- Edit text: Window > Essential Graphics > (block text and edit)
- To resize a picture or video in the timeline: Right click on the image in the timeline > Choose 'set to frame size' or 'scale to frame size.
- To manually resize a picture or video so that it fills the frame completely: Click on the file in the preview window and use the buttons on the border to resize the element. Note that the element must also be active in the Timeline.
- Change resolution of whole movie: Click anywhere in the timeline > Sequence > Sequence Settings
- Standard video resolutions: | 640 x 480 | 1280 x 720 | 1920 x 1080 |
- Adjust audio volume: Click on audio track > Window > Audio Track Mixer
- Add captions: Window > Workspaces > Captions and Graphics > Captions. Then choose 'Captions' in the Captions and Graphics window, then Create New Captions Track.
- To create a Premiere Pro project in your project folder: New Project > Project location (upper menu, center | set location there) > Set project name > Create (lower right corner)
- To flip in image/video: Click Effects > Video Effects > Transform > Horizontal or Vertical Flip from the drop-down menu

- To reverse a clip: Speed > Duration > Reverse Speed
- Adjust audio for one segment of an audio track. Add keyframes (Ctrl + Right mouse click) to volume line on audio track. See this video.
- Frame hold / Freeze frame: Clip > Video Options > Frame Hold. More help
- The default duration of a photograph in Premiere Pro is five seconds. To change this, go to Preferences > Timeline. In the Preferences dialogue box you'll see a place where you can change the Still Image Default Duration. You can specify a duration in seconds or frames.
- Flip a video clip or segment: Flip video clip: Select the Effects menu. 2 Find the Transform tab. 3. Select Horizontal Flip or Vertical Flip from the drop-down menu. Link
- Find microphone: In Premiere, go to preferences > audio hardware. Select the AISO button. Select your mike in the device list that opens in "enable devices". The mike will show up as the device available in audio mixer when you click on the mike icon for the track you want to record to.
