“I created this painting at my studio in Adams Morgan in 2005. It represents me as an 8-year-old looking onto the runway where I had my accident with the airplane in 1975. It is as if I am a runway model walking in front of people watching me as I get ready to be hit by the airplane. The ball with the ‘4’ is represented, the windsock, and me with the dunce cap and trauma scar on the dunce cap… I made a dumb decision. Guardian angels, UFOs, a screaming banshee, vikings, pain, and death are represented in the black.”
