FOBs w/ Weir, Hart & Tipper Gore!
Woodside, CA 4/6/99

The Flying Other Brothers enjoyed a tremendous evening at the
Gore2000 Northern California kick-off party Tuesday night.
For the second set, Bob Weir and Mickey Hart joined the band
for a few old favorites. Tipper Gore sat in on congas for Queen Jane.
The FOBs will be opening for Ratdog at a benefit for the Electronic
Frontier Foundation at the Fillmore on Friday, June 18th.

Set II (with Bob Weir and Mickey Hart)
Music Never Stopped

Goin' Down the Road
Jack Straw

[excerpt from the San Jose Mercury News - 4-7-99]
Gore seeks Net vote, rips Milosevic Vice President Al Gore
brought his presidential campaign to Silicon Valley on Tuesday,
using a $400,000 fundraiser in Woodside as a venue to condemn
Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic and to rally Democratic
high-tech backers behind his bid. At the fundraiser, Tipper Gore
stole the show when she joined the Flying Other Brothers Band,
whose members include former Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart and
Bob Weir, to play bongo drums for a rendition of the Dead song
``Queen Jane.'' ``She'll be the first first lady with rhythm,''
said Hart, who described her as a friend. The hottest giveaways
at the fundraiser were tie-dyed shirts and posters in Dead motif announcing Gore's appearance.
