What's the best way to clean my heads ?

The manual method is the best as you can clean the entire tape path as no cleaning tape can. Also this technique does not wear the head. Dry cleaning tapes are less likely to cause problems. Wet cleaners, while not abrasive, can come apart during cleaning, depositing debris on the head and throughout the transport. Most problems with cleaning tapes are a result of reusing the cleaning tape after it reaches the end of the tape. DO NOT rewind cleaning tapes. If you want to clean the heads by hand, remember, use a rotary head cleaning system (like an 8mm VCR cleaning swab and fluid) and NEVER move the swab on the head. Position the swab on the drum and rotate the drum slowly to clean the heads. This will prevent damage to the delicate heads on the drum assembly.
