Security Concerns

All transfers are set up in advance; requests can be made through e-mail. You will receive a user name and password to access my server. Each user name and password is unique to the person (you) as well as the file (the show you want) to transfer. The user name and password is time specific and will expire after a designated amount of time or the transfer has completed.

FTP Software

This is by far the best way to transfer files via the Internet. There are various programs available. Just use your favorite search engine and type in “freeware ftp software”, as you will notice you have quite a few to choose from. One of the best that I have found is Smart FTP. A copy of this can be downloaded at SmartFTP’s Homepage .

v Select the show that you want from MY LIST.

v E-mail me your request.

v Get confirmation back from me.

v Start your FTP Client Software

Ø Insert Transfer Specific IP Address in Domain name

Ø Insert User ID

Ø Insert Password

Ø Connect

Ø Download (Be sure to remember what local folder you downloaded to)

Ø Disconnect

v Uncompress Files (If needed)

v Enjoy

To Uncompress Files

Some times I will compress the files in order to save the time it takes to transfer them. I use the SHN and Flac standards in compression. This is a lossless format unlike MP3. In order to listen to the files after you download them you will need to convert the SHN or Flac Files. As with the FTP program there are many choices that will do this for you. Just search the web for “SHN Audio Freeware” and you can choose the appropriate program for your needs.

Occasionally I will offer anonymous access to the general public. If when you log in as anonymous your not allowed, then there are currently no general public offers. Try again later, especially right after a show you may want that was just performed near Denver, CO.
