Introducing Incredible PBX 2022 with Rocky 8 for VMware

We’ve taken the Incredible PBX 2022 build and turned it into a turnkey virtual machine for VMware and VMware ESXi. You can load it in just a few minutes and be ready to go. It’s got all of the Incredible PBX bells and whistles. Extensions and trunks are already configured so that you can hit the ground running. Unfortunately, faxing is not available on the Rocky 8 platform at this time.

Prerequisite: Free VMware ESXi 6+ or compatible VMware platform

1. Download the IncrediblePBX2022 .ova image to your desktop.  

2. Using a web browser, open the VMware Portal.

3. Double-click on Virtual Machines in the Left toolbar.

4. Click Create/Register VM in the right panel

5. Name your virtual machine with a unique name on your platform.

6. Choose Import .OVA/.OVF image and drag the .ova image onto the space provided. Wait for it to load.

7. Click on the new virtual machine and then click Power ON.

8. Open the Console window and login as root. 

9. Default Login Credentials -> User: root  PW: password

10. Complete the initialization procedure. 

11. If you installed from VMware console, you will need to whitelist your desktop PC's IP address
to gain access through the firewall: /root/add-ip mypc 12.34.56.78

Log back in as root via SSH and install open-vm-tools: yum -y install --enablerepo=epel open-vm-tools
