Iris contracted Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 28 and despite great difficulties was cared for by her husband and two sons. For the last four years of her life she was living in a care home and was unable to receive the individual attention that she was accustomed throughout her life. It led to her loss of the will to go on living under such circumstances, self neglect and eventual death in hospital. |
