I help brands find there Mojo through the power of the written word and strong images.

Born in the Lake District, I was raised on hill sheep farms in Argyll, the Yorkshire Dales and the Alentejo and studied Philosophy, Sociology and Hispanic Studies at Stirling and Liverpool University. I then spent over ten years traveling and working as a financial news reporter for Knight Ridder, Reuters, FT Business, Platt’s and Dow Jones in Lisbon, London, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Lima and Seville before becoming a Freelance travel editor, writer, Fixer, location scout, photographer and occasional videographer.

As well as regularly contributing features to architecture, design, lifestyle and travel magazines and corporate web sites, I have provided photography, writing and translation work for dozens of cook books, city guides and web sites for a diverse mix of clients including the BBC, Porter & Sail, Time Out, The Guardian, Momondo, US Airways, Four Seasons, Wallpaper, Monocle, Condé Nast and The New York Times.

I currently split my time between Portugal and Spain
working as a creative and editorial consultant for clients ranging from interior designers, architects, chefs, surfers and eco warriors and some of the world’s hottest hoteliers and wine makers.
