So it’s apparently not just the girls that go after the guys. I’ve been communicating with someone from a dating site and some of these emails are word for word what I’ve received with some personalization. I think what finally made me think something was just not right was the “poem” I received today, again word for word as shown above. The other similarities are that he now lives in Miami and had a wife that died. Not sure if phone calls were involved in the other scenarios but this guy has a google voice account with a Miami phone number, so the scam steadily evolves.

I guess it’s good to find these things out now before getting burned.

So nice to see you posting again. Oh yes, how odd it is. I hear people complaining about their spouses sometimes. I know marriage is tough, but I think it sounds grand. I know it is no fun to be “bitched at,” but I think we learn the most and grow the most from being around other people. When we are by ourselves, we have only ourselves and can only see our viewpoint. It sounds like M. has forced you to think about other ways of doing things and that can only cause growth. People are so different, though, and our background have so much to do with how we expect things to be. Just one suggestion: whatever she is doing for you, in a way, that is her way of telling you what she wants you to do for her. She is not intentionally doing this, but that’s the way us people tend to be. A book to read would be the Love Languages. Like for instance, if your spouse buys you lots of gifts, you might be thinking, huh? I don’t need this. Nice, but not necessary. I bet you dollars to donuts that means your spouse feels loved when they receive gifts. I love words of affirmation, so when I date someone I tend to say lots of nice things to them. When in fact, this is what I want. It’s something worth thinking about and talking about. I envy you, though. I hope to meet my sweet someone someday.

I had a great time following everyone around with the katamari adventure ball! I needed something fun and interesting to do, so I followed you guys all around taking as many pics as I could. Be sure you also check out my flickr gallery for the convention, there may be some more pictures of you there that are not on my blog page. the ones on the blog are just my picks, there’s more on the flickr gallery.

I saw a katamari ball at the 2010 con this year with a huge following behind it, but it came and went before i was able to get to it and I never saw it again, not sure what happened to it.

Sucks to hear about the car, at least it had a good last run aha

Hi there… You know, that fuzzy-headed guy with the black mazda underneath the katamari? That’s me! Unfortunately, I was hit by another driver just before the con in 2008, which totaled that car, and I just haven’t been back to Animazement since. Thank you so much for posting pictures, that really means a lot to me. I wasn’t able to get a lot of pictures, myself, since I was the one driving the ball. You even got a shot of me in my Komamura suit, as part of the ball… I’ve been looking for a picture of that for a long, long time. Thank you so very much!

wow, amazing….so that’s the scam? I’ve gotten these emails word for word…they started seeming hinckey a few emails back, so I copied and pasted the words and sure enough they are exactly what you are saying. Glad I learned my lesson before I got burned!
